Fame is definitely not only for those who wins a competition as another Idol set off his career in singing after his cast off in American Idol. Sanjaya Malakar, a 17-year-old male whose passion in singing brought him in Hollywood. He came from a musical family because his Bengali Indian father is a classical Indian musician while his mother is an Italian American. He has two other siblings named Shyamali, who also auditioned for the contest but sent off at the end of the round and a
younger brother. This guy was typically recognized because of his hairstyle everytime he performs on stage. Even the American Idol host Ryan Seacrest came out the next day and imitated his fauxhawk hairstyle, which was his hairdo during one of his performance. Sanjaya was one of the best things that ever happened to the history of American Idol, a reason why Simon Cowell misses him even though the
eminent judge has problems regarding Sanjaya’s vocals. After his Idol career, Sanjaya attended several affairs such as a White House correspondent’s dinner in Washington D.C and even appeared on talk shows like CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman and on Live with Regis and Kelly. Within a few weeks of performing and being “boring” as Cowell commented, Sanjaya now is busy giving autographs in his own fans.

Will Sanjaya Win American Idol
 That question looms large every week that he is still there but in actuality the answer to that question is probably not. Once people like Melinda Doolittle, Blake Lewis or Jordin Sparks begin making the bottom two then America will snap out of their sick obsession for Sanjaya and find vote against him by voting for the other contestants. Howard Stern has a call out for all of his listeners to vote for Sanjaya. That is typical Howard Stern, he has a career and millions and millions of dollars, by calling for Sanjaya to win is depriving a singer like Melinda Doolittle who can whisper better than Sanjaya can sing from getting a record deal she deserves. Voting for the Worst or Vote Against the Worst
The new theme this year seems to be vote for the worst contestant on American Idol. There have been some bad singers on Idol before but none quite as bad as Sanjaya. He does have personality and he has a certain type of cuteness for a 17 year old but as a singer he just doesn’t quite cut it. In the beginning when Sanjaya auditioned with Shyamali the judges made a comment that he was better than his sister and they proved that by letting him in to the final 24 but after that it wasn’t up to them it was totally in America’s hands.

American Idol Judges on Sanjaya
 To address the rants that have plagued Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, yes, they are responsible for putting Sanjaya through to the top 24 and sent his sister Shyamali home but that is as far as their blame goes. The first week American Idol contestants were judged by American the blame fell on all of us. It fell on those who voted for him as well as those who didn’t vote enough for the others. Yes, there were worse singers than Sanjaya like Antonella Barbara but last week Gina Glocksen got voted off and she is no where in the same vocal league as Sanjaya and yet she went home and she is still there.
